Tɑ́s! this ɑ is very close almost an u, yet it is better written in “ɑ” than “u.” This particle of no very definite meaning is used to express acquiescence & approval. So so. That’s the way! That’s right! You have it! That’s well! You are right! as an affix to nouns sig. good, wise, pleasant, fine, smooth, beautiful &c. thus Hɛ́cɑtɑs a smooth sea. as an affix to adjs. sig. good, in good degree. nicely. thus Cɤsųtɑs ɯɑ. A man of attractive amiability. A pleasant, or truly peaceable or kind, quiet man. Ɯląpɑ́tɑs. not altogether bad. bad yet not outrageously so or in the worst ways. as an affix to verbs. which then are used adjectively, or as verbs thus (Clever, well, good. Cleverly) Ʃį́inɑtɑs. Clever in stealing. To steal cleverly. Wuʃtągɯtɑs, clever in doing things To do things cleverly. Cɯtɑnɑtɑs ɯɑ. A good, clever, beautiful speaker. A man having a sweet soft voice.
